How rare is this? Two updates in two days. Wowzerz.
What warranted a second update already you ask? The answer is simple my friend. Home Depot computer based training is actually even worse than the orientation. I am quite convinced I will never actualy work at Home Depot. Life has just tricked me into going back to grade school.
Also, Kingdom Hearts II opening is fucking gorgeous. Is it March 30th yet? Man I hate waiting for awesome shit.

8:09 am - Current Events: The Return

Okay, So it's been about a brazillion weeks since I last posted, so I suppose life could use an update.
Today is my first real day at The Home Depot. I just completed my two days of brain washing, A.K.A. orientation. It was ridiculous. When I started working at Target, I had a single four hour orientation. But with The Big Orange Box, I had two eight hour days. And let me tell you, It sucked huge balls. I mean like woolly mammoth balls. We watched about 10-15 videos, I'm not too sure on the number since I kept dozing off. Anyway, one of the videos was about the cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials. In this one video they explained the process FIVE FUCKING TIMES! If I heard anything about red, yellow, or black buckets again that day I probably would of had to kill. No jury would have convicted me either. So as the videos dragged on we would have to do little "tests" at the end of every one of them. These "tests" consisted of about ten multiple choice questions and most could be answered based off common sense alone. If we weren't testing or watching a video, we were doing "ice breakers". You know how back in grade school you had to stand up in front of the class and say your name and some of your hobbies and shit like that? Yeah I did that two days ago. It was retarded. OH OH! And if the 'Po thinks I'm going to do their cheer, ever, they've got another thing coming.
Well back to my original point, I'm done with orientation now and will be starting to do actual training for cashier and hopefully I'll be able to do some real work today or Saturday.
Oh, all of you will find this nifty. I worked at the arcade last week Friday through Sunday. On Monday I had to go fill out paper work at the 'Po and tour the store. Then I had orientation Tuesday and Wednesday and I went to the arcade to work till 10 on tues (14 hour work day). I am working at the 'po today. On Friday I am at the arcade. Saturday I work at the 'Po 7-12 then the arcade 2-10, then I work Sunday at the arcade. Monday I am at the 'Po 4-10. Tuesday will be my last day at the arcade. And finally Wednesday will be my first real day off! HOORAY! Then I work Thursday through Sunday. That's going to he almost 160 hours in two weeks.
So that's business, now onto pleasure. I'm trying to decide on a new PC game to get while awaiting Kingdom Hearts 2 and Guild Wars: Factions. So, WoW or City of Heroes/Villains are my top choices at the moment but I am definitely open to suggestions. Keep in mind that my computer isn't that good. I'm gonna start setting aside like 20 dollars per paycheck and keep in my sock drawer or something, and it will be the "New Computer for Mike" fund. I can only hope that the NCfM is a roaring success.
While I am thinking of it, I really hope everyone has reserved their copy of Kingdom Hearts 2. I have only ever reserved two games in my entire life. Halo 2, and Kingdom Hearts 2. If I've reserved a game, that speaks volumes.
Someone in my apartment complex apparently shops at "ADULT SUPERCENTERS" here in Raleigh, and they apparently don't care if everyone knows it since they blatantly dropped the business card in the parking lot. I just found it funny. "I buy porn and am proud of it!" Anyone who buys porn should really re-think their life and get a high speed internet connection.
OH YEAH! I just remember something awesome. I was sitting in the orientation room, bored outta my mind so I decided to try to log onto Animal Crossing Wi-Fi Connection with my handy dandy Nintendo DS. Sure enough my DS can see Home Depot's wireless networks, but unfortunately I needed their passwords to actually access the networks. I'm sure I could find these out after a while though.
Oh well, that's about all I can think of right meow.

Well my job was going swimingly, until today I found out that the home office wants all of our hours cut. (Out being the non-manager employees). As if that wasn't enough, our 25 free tokens a day has been decreased to 15. So in short: total suckitude. I'm so looking for a new line of work after the holidays.
Sara is enjoying her job thoroughly. Hopefully changing shitty diapers all day will make her never want to have kids. That doesn't go back to her by the way. =P
But anyway, Why has everyone been so Emo lately? I mean seriously, is there something in air? I remember a simpler time when everyone was atleast complacent.
My computer got a new reformatting as of late. I enjoy doing that because it's like I've got a brand new shitty computer. Although since I did this, my internet connection seems to crap out for no reason late at night. I'm hoping it's not because I didn't install the CD package that came with my DSL modem. If that's why it's doing this I'm going to throw poo at Bellsouth. Although, that doesn't exactly sound like a bad idea. Our latest phone bill was like 100 something dollars. I'm gonna be calling them tomorrow or later and bitch them out.
Well anyway, I can think of three people that will be amused by This. Technicaly two since Roseanna's sound doesn't work though she'll prolly still get a chuckle.
Alright, I'm out. Gotta go switch over my laundy and play Shadow of the Colossus. I highly recommend the game to anyone with a PS2.

Well, I normaly Hate holidays, but I had some fun this halloween for all the wrong reasons. Look below and marvel at my geekdom.

Guild Wars had a big halloween shindig. The towns were all spookiemofied. I took like 30 screen shots. I'm gonna upload them all into my photo bucket so you can all see if you care to. For anyone who might find this interesting, I was working this evening and had to fix a token jam in the Star Trek Voyager game. When I finaly unstucked the stucked up tokens, 18 of the fuck'n things popped out. I don't even want to meet the person who puts 17 tokens into a machine after the first one gets stuck. -.-

Well, it's been several months since I last posted, so let's see what's going on.
Sara and I have moved in together in raleigh. She works at the YMCA in Durham and a Bed Bath and Beyond in Cary. I just recently started working in an arcade in the mall near by.
About my job: It's easy as shit. I just stand around all day, give little kids prizes for their hard earned tickets, and clean shit when needed. Unfortunately I'm only working like 12 hours a week and getting paid like 6 bucks an hour or something. -.- This Wednesday I am interviewing at the Babbage's in the same mall, another part time job. Like 10 hours a week or something stupid like that. Grumble cakes. There's still some other places I can apply in the mall like Spencer's and Toys R Us. Well that about covers the job situations as of right now.
Amusing anecdote: this was told to me by my co-worker's friend
"On World of Warcraft when the pope died, someone logged on and shared the news. Most people responded with 'Oh that's a shame' or 'How did it happen?' you know, things of that nature. One person, quite possibly the worst person in the world says simply 'What's his respawn time?' Two words, BA ZING!"
I just about died when I heard that.
Oh well, hopefully that will entertain all of you for the next 5 months or so.
Edit: Oh yeah, I have this bitchin Spider man wall paper I thought you should all see.
I would make it bigger or something, but I'm not that talented, and I'm lazy. Okay, since Roseanna has been pestering me to update I figured might as well post about the soap opera that is my life.
Well, as you may or may not know, my mother has decided to move to Virginia to take a job. I am just plain sick of living with her and in addition, I have finaly become accustomed to life in NC. So I really really don't wanna move. My plan is to get an apartment down here with my girlfriend, Sara. She is currently working at a YMCA up in Massachussetts. Her bosses are willing to give her a good reccomendation so she would pretty much be gauranteed a job at a YMCA down here if there is an opening of any sort. I'm getting Roseanna to ask her mother about an opening in the IT department at Lee Counter Social Services where she works. In addition I'm having Roseanna ask her boss if I could get a job at the JC Penny where she works. I'm hoping that either of those will bear fruit so I don't have to stress about finding a job by the end of the week. My other options are to get my classmates, Jessi and Shirly to ask their bosses if they know of any job openings in my field of study. As a fail safe, I'm going to grab some applicatiosn to random retail type stores around sanford, and my friend Pete said to check things like hotels and security companies, since they generaly don't require experience to get work. That's about the job plan as it stands right now. Living arangements is the next big worry. The apartment my mother and I live in right now, the lease isn't up until the end of June. So Sara and I could live here until then, working and saving money. With 2 or 3 incomes, we should have enough for a security deposit and the first couple month's rent on an apartment in sanford. Specialy since Sara has a couple hundred in her bank account right now. She and I will have to live rather frugaly. Basicaly living offa ramen and such, yum! It's going to be hard, and rough at times. But I honestly can't think of anything that would make me happier than to start my life with Sara. Well, starting my life with Sara and having a copy of Guild Wars. =D

i was up till like, some ungodly time finishing that stupid programming mid term. then promptly woke up at 6 a.m. for school
now i'm massively tired. school was boring and shitty. the rest of the day isn't looking much better. didn't even go to my second class.
